  • October 17, 2011

On September 13, 2011, the owner of a 2005 Infiniti G350 reported their vehicle stolen from Falls Church, Virginia.  An officer responded to the scene, conducted a preliminary investigation and completed a vehicle theft report.  All of the vehicle information was entered into the Virginia Crime Information Network.

Within a short period of time, detectives from the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Department received the silent LoJack homing signal with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The directional and audible signal of LoJack System took detectives to the area of Oakton, Virginia.  At that location, the detectives located the vehicle parked and unoccupied. After the vehicle was processed, it was recovered and the owner notified.

The total time from LoJack activation to recovery was less than four hours!
