The LoJack® System Helps Ventura, California Police Recover Stolen Dodge R15 Pickup in Seven Minutes

When the California based owner of the Dodge R15 pickup in this case had the LoJack® system installed in his truck, he knew that LoJack helps police retrieve stolen vehicles fast, but he didn’t know that his recovery would be extraordinarily fast- in just seven minutes after activation.
On November 11th, 2013, the Dodge’s owner called Port Hueneme Police to report that his truck had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the R15, which was installed at Northwest Dodge in Houston, TX.
Just a few minutes later, patrol officers from the Ventura PD picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol units. The officers began tracking the stolen vehicle, and located it traveling in the area of Shoreline Drive and Figueroa Street. As the officers approached the vehicle, the suspect fled E/B on Shoreline Drive. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was taken into custody. The F15 was soon returned to its thankful owner.
